A few years back I got to know a Cuban / Kazakh girl I used to work with and although we lost touch over the years she once gave me a great idea for this song when she mentioned she was in a ‘Fragile State of Mind’. She was a muse for a few of my songs down through the years but she was always a source of great fun and intrigue so wherever you are girl… I hope things are going your way and in the mean time, I hope this raises a smile!

I Met a Girl

Back in the heady days of 2020 before Covid struck and taught us all a lesson in humility, I was standing in the train station in Tara Street in Dublin taking the evening air, As the trains came and went and it struck me… if I wanted to meet that cute redhead that was standing on the other side of the tracks from me, what is it I would have to do?
So I concocted a scenario that ended up being this sweet song about that which might have been! For your listening pleasure… “I Met a Girl”
